Oui-mper

Yes, please. I renege on any other crush. Romain is my original and best crush. Merci Nicole, to be honest I haven't read the article yet, but I will when I can tear my eyes away.

PS has anyone got Charlotte's new album yet?

Hi there Julia,

I've dropped in a comment here a few times, but I guess overall I'm a bit of a rogue reader! No, in all honesty I read your blog daily and I really enjoy it.

I just wanted to tell you that I got Charlotte's CD about 2 weeks ago here in Paris after falling in love with her first single, "The Songs that We Sing" and I'm loving it... really nice sound overall, something all her own, even if there are a few echos of her mom's voice in there...

The piano bits are particularly appealing, IMO. So definitely check it out if you can!

Huge on Romain for the longest time! On gaspard Ulliel as well , he has a slight air of rimbaud .
C.C's cd's is great although the music is too strong
towards her voice , even though the music is great.

Just in response to what la chipie said, as I was listening to CC's album over the weekend, I wondered what it was exactly about it that didn't seem "right," even though I love the sound and the music overall -- and la chipie put her finger on it: it's true, I think that Charlotte's voice is a bit overwhelmed by the background music, at times you think you'd like to hear it a bit better... But other than that, it really is a great CD!

I got Charlotte's CD in Paris too, I really like it now but I had that 'not right' feeling at first. I was a bit disappointed that she'd only collaborated on writing two of the songs - the album really has the stamp of Air's music and Jarvis Cocker's lyrics but I guess that doesn't matter as it sounds so good! And Romain, ooh I didn't get the attraction until I saw The Beat That My Heart Skipped, which mine did - Mr charisma/talent/gorge - orama!
